Our Mission

Habit Hacks for Happiness and the content on this site exist to make personal growth and habit change feel achievable, not overwhelming. Our goal is to translate psychology and habit-science research into practical, everyday guidance that respects where readers are starting from.

How Our Content Is Created

Our books, articles, and worksheets are developed through an extensive research process, drawing on published psychology and behavioral-science research, and publicly available resources on habit formation, mindfulness, and personal development. We also use AI tools as part of how we research, draft, and produce content, including the imagery associated with the “Tess Alder” name. You can read more about this on our About page.

We are a small, independent publisher. We do not currently have a licensed psychologist, therapist, or behavioral scientist formally reviewing every article prior to publication, and we do not claim otherwise. Our content is intended to support personal growth and habit change, not to serve as therapy or clinical treatment. We believe it’s more useful to be upfront about this than to imply a level of professional review that isn’t in place.

Editorial Independence

Our content reflects our own research and editorial judgment. We are not paid by any brand, app, or wellness company to promote their products, and no outside company has editorial control over what we publish.

Our Use of AI Tools

We’re transparent that AI tools are part of how this site and its content are produced — from research and drafting assistance to the imagery associated with the “Tess Alder” name. AI tools support our process; they do not replace human editorial decisions about what we publish, and content is reviewed as part of our editorial process before it goes live.

Accuracy & Corrections

We do our best to keep the psychology and habit-science concepts we reference accurate and current. If you believe something on this site is inaccurate or outdated, please contact us at publishing@tessalder.com with the specific page and issue, and we’ll review and correct it as quickly as possible.

A Note on Professional Advice

Nothing on this site or in our books is a substitute for professional mental health support. If you’re struggling with your mental health, please speak with a qualified professional.
